2000 A.D. WEEKLY - PROG 36, 37, 38 DATELINE: OCTOBER - 12th NOVEMBER 1977


This was a weekly British science fiction orientated comic, each issue known as a "prog". Most noted for its futuristic lawman Judge Dredd, it was contributed to by a number of renowned writers and artists in this field. Other noted characters to feature alongside The Judge were Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog and the ABC Warriors, and also Tharg The Mighty - the Editor himself - a Green Extra-terrestrial! He used Robots to draw & write the strips, who bore a resemblance to the creators themselves! 2000 A.D. was a successful launchpad for introducing British Talent into the larger American Comic Market. Many more "progs" available! Prog 32 has top of margin of first few pages slightly damaged, Prog 33 is very good, Prog 34 has Judge Dredd's Lawgivers Gun back page separated but present and tear to front page, Prog 35 is very good, prog 36 again has back page of Dan Dare's Space Fort separated but present, and tear across front cover but present, prog 37 is very good, and prog 38 has back page of Dan Dare's Eagle Craft separated but present.
